A Day at the Farm
Dogs
Our guests are woken (or ready and waiting) at 7am for a 20-minute walk and exploration in the large paddock. Meanwhile team members are busy freshening up their kennel and preparing their breakfast. Once back in their kennel, breakfast is served and they are moved into their day side where they have a view of the farm forecourt to watch the day’s activities unfold.
Later in the day they’ll have some fun in the smaller paddock with enrichment activities such as the seesaw, running through tunnels, playing fetch or simply enjoying some cuddles with one of the team. If the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor fun, one of the team will spend some dedicated time with each resident in their kennel, unless they’ve expressed an interest to be left in peace!
As evening draws in, there will be another 20 minute walk in the paddock followed by dinner served in their day side, before guests are moved to their night side at around 6pm for a cosy night’s rest. Final checks are carried out between 6pm and 7pm and as well as 24/7 onsite staff, remote senior staff also have 24/7 access to our CCTV...
Cats
An early breakfast of both wet and dry food is served around 7:30am along with a freshen up of each pen and a litter tray clean. Each guest will be offered some quality time with a team member, but if eating is top priority, the team member will come back later.
Another check takes place around midday where toys are refreshed and more quality time offered.
Dinner is served at 5pm, followed by final cuddles and checks at 6pm. After that, it’s lights out and our guests settle in for a peaceful night’s sleep either under a cosy heat lamp or snuggled up in their warm carrier.
